At Xavier Mission we understand that an end to poverty,  hunger, homelessness will not come without change to the policies and legislation that underlie these problems. We invite you to join us in letter-writing and phone call campaigns, rallies, and other actions designed to attract the attention of our elected officials regarding specific policy changes. See below for simple ways that YOU can make a difference!

MLK Serve-a-Thon Kicks Off

Elected officials, the New York City Coalition Against Hunger, Xavier Mission staff and FAB members, and volunteers gathered in Hurtado Hall to commemorate the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and to kick-off NYCCAH’s thirteenth annual Serve-a-Thon.

FAB Members oppose SNAP Cuts

On, November 26th, 2013, our own Food Action Board (FAB) members, Christopher Wallace and Tyrone Davies, spoke at the release of the annual hunger survey by the New York City Coalition Against Hunger (NYCCAH).
